Charlotte Asian-American Rotary Club Featured in Charlotte Observer

Last week, a strange thing happened within Charlotte's old Rotary Club. A group of Asian Americans, from Korean to Vietnamese to Thai, gathered over dinner and launched a Rotary of their own. They called it, proudly, the Charlotte Asian-American Rotary Club.

Less unusual was the host of the inaugural: At the center of it all, of course, was the ubiquitous Korean-born businessman Ki-Hyun Chun, (rhymes with "run"), whose rep as a power broker within the ranks of disenfranchised Asian immigrants now places him, ironically, at the heart of the Charlotte's business mainstream.
